Mummy's Back

05 October 2010 (Tuesday)
Mummy's Voice: I'm back home from my 2 nights getaway with Hubby. We drove up to Port Dickson and stayed at The Legend International Water Homes which I bought their vouchers from NATAS fair early this year. I prefer this 1yo resort to Pavilion Water Chalet which we went last year, not only it's bigger, newer and has better facilities in the room eg microwave, dvd player, it also has its own plunge pool in every room. Upon request, they showed us around in a buggy the different categories of rooms when we checked in, we stick to our garden view room without upgrading because we preferred the open concept swimming pool @ the balcony. We dislike their seaview rooms because the swimming pool is enclosed by 4 walls with narrow vertical windows which is too pathetic to view the sea. It'll be perfect if the concept of our room is sea facing, what a pity....

Actually there is nothing to do at PD, we were just spending some R&R couple time which is not too far or too inconvenient. With our own brought food, portable BBQ pit, DVDs, drinks, poker cards and the swimming pool, we never stepped out of our room throughout our stay.

No doubt I enjoyed the trip but I really missed 宝贝 a lot, so much that I even cried secretly and looked forward to come home to see her. I called home several times but dared not speak to her because I do not want her to miss me more either and start asking for me. Now that I'm back, I missed the time there with Hubby, sigh.... one can never have the best of both world, isn't it?

Shall post the pics when Hubby comes home with my camera.

Big Step - Going to the Beach

02 October 2010 (Saturday)
Mummy's Voice: Suddenly had the thought of bringing 宝贝 to East Coast as I was going to Katong to collect my BBQ stuff which I am bringing to Port Dickson, really need to help her overcome her fear for sand before we really decide on our Koh Samui trip. The last time we went cycling there, she was so scared to get down to the beach and last year at Bintan, she was crying her heart out at the beach. She is way toooo... much of a clean freak.

She was excited when I told her I am bringing her to a beach. I guessed she might be afraid of touching sand with her bare hands so I brought along some plastic cups & spoons to use. She was still excited when we reached but as we slowly approached the beach, she started to retreat and refused to go forward. No choice so I carried her and put her down in the centre of the beach where she had no place else to run. Aiyooo... you should have seen how careful she was at first, as if it hurts but at least she didn't cry like we were at Bintan. She slowly started to enjoy scooping the sand and making sand castles, except that you will see her brushing away the sand whenever it gets onto her hands. A pity we had to leave shortly to collect my stuff and she at one point even refused to go home. I've promised to bring her there again one day. Good job, 宝贝!

I'll be going on a short trip to Port Dickson tomorrow with Hubby, without 宝贝. No doubt I am happy to enjoy my 二人世界 the next 2 days, I know I will miss 宝贝 badly.

We had an early dinner at Claypot Fun and while waiting for our food to be served, 宝贝 snapped these pics with my camera. My girl, she even adjusted the objects nicely before she snapped. Potential photographer, isn't she? Must be seeing too much of Mummy doing so. Hehee...

Children's Day Gift from Edelweiss

30 September 2010 (Thursday)
Mummy's Voice: Edelweiss had their Children's Day celebration today and I guess 宝贝 must be very happy with it because she proudly showed me the presents she received the moment she saw me in school and then showing it off to everyone else when we reached home.

Happy Children's Day

01 October 2010 (Friday)
Mummy's Voice: 宝贝 woke up earlier than usual today as her diaper overflown. She drank too much water the night before cos I bought her a new water bottle for home use to encourage her to drink more water, my 'motivation' works! Hahaa... Anyway, she jumped out of mattress once she felt that the mattress was wet and called for me. She removed her own diaper skilfully as usual, took her panties and shorts and put them on, all by herself. Good job, 宝贝!

Brought her to Little O'zone in the afternoon cos she doesn't want to nap, it has been quite a long time since we last went there and from her face & action, she was indeed very very happy. She is not a very adventurous person by nature but even though she was only playing with smaller slides and pool of balls, her face was beaming with joy. As I sat aside watching her, a lot of feelings came to me. I felt happy when I saw the happiness in her face, but suddenly I also felt that she is lonely, playing by herself most of the time. I thought of her younger days, when she was still 'blur blur' when I brought her there previously, which is a great different from now. I thought of the future when she has a younger sis/bro. I thought of many many things... Ohhh... I always get so emo whenever I feel that
宝贝长大了.

Anyway, I'm really very grateful and feel blessed that I was able to witness every milestones of her during the past 3 years, ain't an easy path but definitely every hardship is worth watching them grow up happily & healthily.

1 to 39

30 September 2010 (Thursday)
Mummy's Voice: My dear 宝贝 gave me 20 kisses all over my face while I was showering her. She counted as she kissed, so sweet... by the way, she can count to 39 now, all thanks to iPhone app. She used to go 11, 12, 16, 18, 19 but within a week or so messing with a new app I downloaded, she can easily count to 39 now. My phone is a better teacher than me hor???

Where to???

29 September 2010 (Wednesday)
Mummy's Voice: 宝贝 slept before 9pm so I had more free time today. Spent the past few hours looking for holiday packages in Dec but still couldn't decide the destination yet. Where can we go with maximum 5days 4 nights to spare? Hong Kong is out cos we don't want to squeeze at Disneyland during that super peak period. Korean? Hubby said he doesn't want to expose 宝贝 to such cold weather yet. Taiwan? I will definitely go there if not going with 宝贝. Bali? Too commericalised. Malaysia? But where? Penang? Langkawi? Not so keen. Phuket? Not so keen too. Maldives? Too expensive for a short trip. Cruise? Too boring for Hubby and I. Sightseeing trip? Guided tour? Not our cup of tea too. So troublesome, right? I think high chance we might consider Koh Samui as per Hubby's suggestion cos Hubby and I love there, really missed that 12days we spent there during our honeymoon in 2005, nice place with lots of nice food, not as commercialised as Phuket and easy to get around the island by either jeep or scooter. My only hesitation is there will be no massage, no spa, no clubbing and restricted itinerary so will it be a wise choice? Any suggestion or just stick to Singapore instead?

Back to Msia Office

28 September 2010 (Tuesday)
Mummy's Voice: It's been 2 months since I went back to Msia office so squeezed some time out today to go there to get my past 2 months' accounting done. I used to enjoy going there which to me is like a short 'getaway' because I get to makan nice msia food, massage and buy some necessities back but ever since I started going to JB once or twice a week with my sis for the above 'tasks' when 宝贝 goes to school, going back to office really means work with no 'extra'.

Dragged myself to wake up this morning and just before we left, 宝贝 woke up and whined a little about wanting to go with me. Pacified her a little and told her to wait for my return at 9pm and she happily said ok and waved goodbye. Yup, she knows how to read the time by hour hand now, she knows it's 我问天 and dinner at 7pm, shower at 8pm and sleep at 9pm. Sometimes it's fun to debate with her eg if I want to shower her earlier, she will look at the clock and said, "it's not 8 o'clock yet, you know". Fun? When she grows older and can speaks better next time, I'm in trouble, isn't it?

宝贝
was very happy to see me home and started telling me about her day, how she was a good girl by eating her rice & toufu dinner at the dining table without climbing up and down, how she was a good girl by not crying for Mummy when I wasn't around.... and she went on and on and on... calling Mummy repeatedly. My little angel...

Finally... My Blog Is Up Todate! Yipeee!

28 September 2010 (Tuesday)
Mummy's Voice: Dear followers of my blog, it has been such a long ime since my blog is up todate, isn't it? It has been 3-4 months backdated since CNY and after a few weeks of hardwork, it finally pays off. I finally have more free time for the past 1.5mths ever since my new helper came in mid Aug. So far I'm quite happy with her performance and attitude and I hope she will maintain her positive working attitude. From my past experiences, they are usually good for a couple of months before their 'pattern' surfaced, so I'm keeping my finger crossed for her to save me from all the unnecessary headache but at least my current indon helper is soooo.... much better than my last one, that filipino. Even though we have language barrier, she can understands me better even though I am using my broken bahasa malay to talk to her or give instructions. In terms of housework and attitude, my current one surpasses THAT filipino in all aspects and I really salute myself for tolerated her for 8months before sending her home. Anyway, my 'fire' just tend to flare up whenever I mention filipino maids, I have enough of their nonsenses, their stories and I hate the sight of them. Wish me good luck with my current helper for the rest of the 22 months.

Koh Family Day to 姑姑's House

26 September 2010 (Sunday)
Mummy's Voice: Ever since our last visit to my SIL's house 2 weeks ago, 宝贝 has been looking forward to go there again, I told her that we will go when Daddy comes back so this morning she saw Daddy at home when she woke up, she said, "Daddy is back, we can go 姑姑's house". Of course we obliged to her request and spent the whole day there even though my SIL was out for F1 race.

The 2 Cousins

2010 中秋节快乐!

22 September 2010 (Wednesday)
Mummy's Voice: This is the 1st time we celebrated mid-autumn festival without Hubby as he has gone back to Msia yesterday. At least my mum was around to make it merrier instead of just 宝贝 and me. Decided to bring them to Clark Quay to have a feel of the festival and we left the house at 6pm, but as we travelled down CTE, it started to jam from AMK Ave 3. Thinking of the jam to and fro, I exited from AMK Ave 1 and went to Serangoon Garden for dinner at Pow Sing instead. After our dinner, we tried to look for some "lantern-playing" crowds on our journey home but no luck, even the basketball court near Jelutung CC, which I expected to be crowded, was only filled with 2 small groups of people. I gave up searching and decided to go back to the playground below my flat. To our surprise, the whole playground was full with people playing with candles and lanterns. Haiyo.... time, petrol and energy wasted.

宝贝 was not so much into lanterns, but she enjoyed singing birthday song and blowing out the candles repeatedly. I think she is too young to understand the meaning of mid-autumn festival so I simply told her that it was the moon's birthday. She then looked at the moon and sing "Happy birthday to moon... Happy birthday to you...".

I gave 宝贝 a small piece of mooncake when we reached home which she spitted out and refused to eat anymore. My dear 宝贝 just doesn't fancy sweet stuff (except sweets of cos) just like me. I ate about 1/4 of the mooncake and felt nauseous the whole night. Just never fancy mooncakes.

宝贝 & Bear Bear

20 September 2010 (Monday)
Mummy's Voice: My brother and SIL bought this pyjamas for 宝贝 during their holiday recently. She has no doll so the dolly pyjamas goes to her best pal. She LOVES it!!!

Happy 1st Birthday to Javier!

18 September 2010 (Saturday)
Mummy's Voice: Woke up slightly earlier than usual to go to Javier's birthday bash @ SSR. 宝贝 was so excited over going to Auntie Veron's party that she proudly told everyone in the house that she is going to a birthday party. From the moment we left home, she started to bombard me with questions till we reached Changi. She went on repeatedly, "Where is Auntie Veron?", "Where is Chloe 妹妹?", "We reached or not?" etc. My 宝贝 is such, she seems soft spoken with others around, but become a chatterbox immediately when we are alone.

Ya... at this age, she really enjoys going to parties for the simplest reasons, balloons, goodie bag and bday song. She doesn't really play around with others, unless with those kids she is more familiar with and she can mingle better with girls than boys. I realise she doesn't like to play with boys much except with my nephew, could it be there are too many boys (ratio 6boys-2girls) in her class who are too rough to her that's why she dislikes boys?
